It is an undoubted club anthem, that is instantly recognisable with the intro “peace up, a-town down” – a reference to Atlanta, where Usher has lived for the majority of his life. The first single of the Usher’s Confessions is timeless R&B classic ‘Yeah!’. It is believed that the namesake for Usher’s Confessions was due to it being his most personal album, to let his fans get to know him more personally.

While the album isn’t a concept album the album is centred entirely around relationships and Usher’s perspective of them. It is peppered with timeless classics and cemented Usher as one of the biggest names in music. Usher’s Confessions was released when I was three years old and I have been obsessed with it for as long as I can remember.
